Together with Oneplanet Adventure, who run the MTB centre at Llandegla, I take monthly rides out around North Wales
and the North West.  They are 'SOCIAL' rides of around 20miles with the emphasis on getting out and having fun.

Some basic mountain biking skills are necessary, but if you can comfortably make it around the Blue and Red routes
combined at Landegla, or the Marin Trail, you should have no problems (that is not to say you will not be tired at the end).
The Clwyds Shop Ride : Sun 8th Jun 2008
In June the Shop Ride will take place in the Deak Peaks.  We will
be riding my
'Ladybower Loop (medium)' route.  It is a 18.5mile
route that starts from
Ladybower reservoir and takes in some of
the best trails nearby
.  It is a fantastic ride with lots of rocky
descending.

If you want to join me turn up i
n the car park at the Upper
Derwent visitors centre
in good time for a 10am start.

May:  There will be no ride in May as me and Sabine are getting married and
having a honeymoon.
To take part in these rides you must
be aged 18 or older.  You will be
required to sign a disclaimer and have
a helmet.  Upon signing the
disclaimer you will receive a voucher
that will get you 10% off purchases
in the bike shop at Llandegla.
(not including complete bikes)
'Oneplanet Adventure' are the people who set up and run the Coed
Llandegla MTB Centre in North Wales.  Their dedication and hard
work have produced a fantastic mountain bike facility with a
network of trails suitable for both beginners and advanced riders.

At the start of the trails is the Log Cabin that houses the Cafe,
Shop and function room.

At the heart of the Cabin is the Cafe that has won awards for their
bacon butties and breakfasts.  I can personally confirm that the
food is fantastic.  As well as the hot food there are delicious home
made cakes and freshly ground coffee, great for unwinding after a
ride.  And don't worry the food comes in mountain bike portions.

The bike shop is stocked with everything you need to keep you
riding and lots of bling to drool over.  For those who don't have a
bike they also have a fleet of Kona hire bikes, which come fitted
with disc brakes and Marzocchi forks.

To help you get the best from your riding they also provide
skills
courses.  There is something for everyone from beginners courses
to expert advice from the Athertons.
